Palouse Divide Free Ski Lessons

The Palouse Divide is hosting free beginner cross-country ski lessons. We will cover gear basics, getting comfortable maneuvering on skis and basic classic skiing techniques.
Please email: palousedividenordic@gmail.com by Thursday at 5pm before the ski lesson day and provide:
· Name(s)
· Whether the person taking lessons is an adult or child (and if the latter, include age)
· A brief description of level of experience (beginner, some experience, or some experience with another form of skiing, for instance)
Soon after this deadline, you will receive confirmation that there is space available from the Palouse Divide Nordic Ski Club.

You will need your own Idaho Park ‘n Ski Pass ($7.50 for 3 day or $25 for the season). Specifying the Palouse Divide as your main use area helps support the ski club!
Gear will not be provided: Rentals are available through Hyperspud Sports in Moscow, the U Idaho Outdoor Programs, and the WSU Outdoor programs.

Where: Meet in the Palouse Divide parking lot
When: Saturday 10 AM
Duration: 1-2 hours depending on how far the group wants to go. We recommend bringing snacks and water for yourself! We will go as far as the warming hut (1 mile) and participants can choose to either ski further on their own, or ski back to the trailhead with the lead instructor.
Cancellations: If you signed up but are unable to attend, notify us at palousedividenordic@gmail.com. If weather conditions create un-skiable trail conditions, we will cancel lessons for that day and send out notifications to those signed up.
